The shoes on my Xbox avatar are actually not women's shoes but red sneakers you can buy in the Avatar Marketplace. I picked them because I have red sneakers in real life! You are also right - font is too big. Will fix.

The thing that puzzles me Brandon is why has your Xbox avatar got women's shoes on? Nice to see just how long you have been writing a blog. The internet would more or less be a very empty place without blog posts in my opinion. Keep blogging! Oh, and as an aside, I think that the fonts in replies are a little bit too big, don't you?

I'm being pressured to either change or remove these images because we've not yet heard from you. I agree, that not all that is seen that is unusal are UFO. The quick gun alpproach has caused air traffic reporters to no label incidents, unidentifield Aerial Phenomena a harder task to identify because ever one has had enough flying saucers, especially when most of what are seen are lights in the sky. Lights can be the most difficult things to identify due to distince bright or dimness, purpuse of lights, etc. The whole field of paranormal sightings is desperate to identify the target as what they want it to be. Vision is to simple and very unreliable. I went overseas on the uss Patch and they allowed us on deck where we sat on a cover of a cargo hole to play cards. I looked up and saw that the point looked like it was rolling under a wave, I saw fish and debrie going by in the wave. Tlhen I was told that the reason I was seeing things this way was that the ship the Patch was on the bottom of a wave and another wave was at the bottom also the ship was on the side of the wave looking over at the side of the other wave, I was seeing the siip sitting near the bottom of the trough looking straight over into the wasve. The ship was find. I also was flying home from Europe and over New York we encountered a heavy storm and had to be stackede as no one was allowed to land during the heavy rain our aircraft at one end od one stack was turning to head in opposite way at level altitude, the plane above us was turning back in the opposite direction at this altitude when I looked up I say that aircraft go straight down by our window. it was the way the aircraft were banking in relation to the attitude to the ground. What we see is not always hapening as we see it happening. I have other instances of things that to all intents and purposes was happening as I was seeing them happen, but needless to say the Patch did not sind and the aircraft above us did not crfash. and I learned a valuable lesson YOu cannot always believe what you think you see. especially when looking into the dark sky with lights in every direction and movements at 360 degrees at varying speeds because of distance and terrain.

Thanks Jerry! That's the thing - I think a lot of people have negative feelings over the term "nerd". People don't like to be called one but will proudly admit they are a geek.

I agree that you definitely fall into the Geek realm (you love velociraptors AND Cheap Trick... that's so cool a nerd wouldn't touch it with a 50-foot pole). I perceive geeks as being a bit more well-rounded than nerds in their interests and activities, and that true nerds are rather rare. You might have a few traits that are nerdy, but I think every intelligent person has at least a tiny bit of nerdiness deep within them. Plus, I was nodding in agreement to the majority of your list and I like to consider myself in the middle of the Geek bell curve.

Its all Geek to me - and our "profiles" match on probably 80% of what you've written. If it helps, I identify with "Geek" for me, and don't care for being called "Nerd".

Hmm I would say GEEK, as I think that is what I am. If anyone called me a nerd, I would squash their little head with my mighty fists of Justice.. Or punch them in the throat... ( whatever is easier)

Thanks Rick! I like that! I would have to agree I am certainly passionate about many things. I do tend to agree that geek is the new nerd. But the word nerd is still thrown around quite a bit.

I think you are both or maybe passionate is a better word, I think when you are passionate about something that makes you a geek about it. Over time I think Geek is the new word for Nerd, its much more cooler sounding that's for sure!

Sorry to hear you lost so many of your blog articles going years back. I have had you in IE Favorites for ... I think since 2007 when I first got Vista on my old computer. I learned a lot from reading your articles. Also, will be looking for some great pictures when you take another stroll down Highway 12 to Yakima. BTW, I have the same problem with my camera ... the batteries are always going dead and I have to remember to bring batteries, too. Thanks for sharing knowledge about Windows and others things you learn along the road ...
